What Who? Where? When?
WHAT IS 'HUMAN GROWTH'?
HG is a Sydney based training group made up of a diverse group of individuals with a wide range of experiences and ambitions in triathlon and beyond. My aim is to help you to get as much out of your training as you want with the energy and time that you put in. More specifically I am offering:
Individual Consultations where we look into your motivation for training, identify challenges and potential obstacles and set some short/medium/long term goals - the idea is to understand aims and motivation for exercise in the context of a balanced lifestyle.
Individual Training Sessions where we work on specific aspects of your technique be in the context of a calm and supportive environment
Group Training Sessions will also have a clear focus. Specific pointers and feedback will be given and can be asked for.
WHO IS IT FOR?
I will work with anyone who feels that I can help them. There are no limits on your ability or experience and I work with the assumption that there are large amounts of unfulfilled human potential in each person, waiting to be discovered.
WHERE ARE THE SESSIONS?
Central Sydney. Rides are in Centennial Park and the Eastern Suburbs or North Shore and heading South for longer rides.
WHEN ARE THE SESSIONS?
All sessions are designed with specific goals in mind so timings vary. Current sessions are linked via Human Growth Calendar at the top right.
I am available on weekday mornings, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and you can request/suggest a session by leaving a message here!

Here is some feedback from a client:
What were the most helpful aspects of your consultation(s)?
Definitely first session and the goal setting. Now that I have something concrete to aim for I find it easier to train because I have something specific to achieve. It feels like the goals are the skeleton and the training is the muscles. Without the goals the training is just all floppy and directionless (like muscle without a skeleton to hold it together) and without the training the goals are not supported (ie you just have a skeleton without muscles and it will just fall over).
What have you enjoyed most about your training sessions - the ones that you do with me and also the ones that you do independently?
I love waking up when it's dark and getting out on the bike. I love seeing the world when it's all quiet and asleep and I love seeing dawn. If I ride by myself in the park near here (Lane Cove NP) I quite often have it to myself for the first 15 minutes and it's just heaven. That's what I like best about training by myself. In training with others I love the social aspect of it all - for its own sake more so than what I can learn from the others in the group although perhaps I'd gain more from a traiing aspect if I focused on the training.
Rob's run has been fantastic and it would be good to keep that up on a regular basis.
How well do my services match your needs and wants?
Perfectly. I think you have a good mix between a personal session (whether at my request or someone else's request) and opening it up to others. Someone can request a session and others can go along too and that way everyone benefits. It's a good approach that works for me.
